Toward Zero Deaths (TZD) Campaign
The State of Michigan, through the Governor's Traffic Safety Advisory Commission, is continuing to improve the state's traffic safety culture through the Toward Zero Deaths (TZD) statewide safety campaign, laid out in the state's Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP). While the SHSP goal is to reduce traffic fatalities from 889 in 2011 to 750 in 2016, the ultimate vision is Zero Deaths on Michigan's roadways.
State, Local, and Private Organizations support TZD and the safety culture in Michigan by incorporating the official logo for the National Strategy on Highway Safety TZD program on websites, ads, brochures, posters and other communications.
